Business Model

At the dawn of the 21st century, TruCut embraced business practices that changed our culture and helped us become the industry leader we are today.

Thanks to the principles of Lean Manufacturing, a relentless pursuit of efficiency is deeply ingrained in every level of our business. We buy only those raw materials that we’ll need for the coming week, reducing the need for storage space. Trucks move continuously between our four facilities, relocating machinery according to the needs the day. All management is on site, but our employees are empowered to fix problems before they can escalate. Quality is built into our processes, not inspected into our products.

All of this is possible because of Open Book Management. Twice every month, our entire staff gathers in the spacious conference room we built for meetings and training. We review sales and expense figures, discuss short- and long-term goals and work together to find the best solutions to every challenge. At TruCut no one is “just” a welder or salesman or foreman or manager. Everyone shares responsibility for getting every order right, on time, every time. This is how we earned ISO9001 certification, and it’s not only how we’re continuing to grow our core service parts business, but also how we’re taking advantage of new opportunities such as precision-formed and welded-sheet-metal assemblies for military application.
